Improvisation Inspiration

We, the poets,
Collecting moonbeams in jars,
Lost in our love,
As we strum our guitars,
Nurturing every one of our works to perfection,
Caressed by the spark of our astute affections,
I, like others,
Choose to improvise,
I haven't stopped to think,
I'm now on the brink,
Of a new discovery, a whole new world,
Yet inhabited by others, my true self unfurled,
Freed from my chains by my own improvisation,
Harvesting the fruits of my endless imaginaiton,
It ends not yet, this verse shall go on,
'Till the end finally comes to this bleeding dawn,
Writing this poem, 'tis like making love,
Yoking the beautiful details,
as they humbly come,
Immersing myself in the sake of my fate,
For self redemption, it is never too late,
Through this sacred and havenous poetic wood,
I acknowledge all the leaves,
I hike the trails, for the beaten path remains good,
But enlightenment serves the one who believes,
In letting himself go,
In letting his heart do the writing,
Never skipping a beat, isn't it so inviting?

Very true, although I don't usually nurture my work to perfection...almost always leave things in rough draft form though I know most other people edit and edit and edit.  I suppose I should too...  Anyway... lovely poem    I enjoyed it.
