I Came Home Tonight

I came home.
You were mad.
We were alone.
This made you glad.

You came at me.
I tried to duck.
I was too late.
My face was struck.

Falling down,
You kicked my head.
On the ground,
My face bled.

Pain shot through me
With every blow.
I wanted to flee
And from this Earth go.

My wish was granted.
I died that night.
Heaven I was granted.
I came Home tonight.

This is a very well written poem it has described the situation so perfectly.  If you or a friend are living in this hell please find some help.  This is not a home.  Take care.   James

Thankyou all for your responses. I don't know anyone currently living like this, but I have known those who have. I think abuse is something that should be made more aware of.
