First, I must give credit where credit is due.  Mr. Haley inspired this one...one of his poems had this fabulous line that just gripped me, and so I went with it.  Thank you sir  - I owe you one.  pFF

~ Beneath the Rain ~

Pelting tears
beneath the rain
my silent scream
I can't explain.
My knees pulled to
an empty chest
I close my eyes
they beg to rest...

Freezing winds
they whip my hair
no emptiness
can dare compare.
Here am I
beneath this rain
my face is like
a windowpane...

Pelting tears
are streaming down
upon my soul
I pray I drown.
Are you out there -
beneath this rain?
Please dry me off
and keep me sane...

Ouch...... the storms of life can often bring us down.  I enjoyed the look into your storm and am wishing more sunshine to calm the storm that rages before you.  I found the meter to this like the pouring rain.....down and down it came

Wow, this poem I liked so much I'll have to look for the inspiration behind it! What was the title of the inspring poem?

Perhaps an umbrella?   Very powerful Femme. . . and I want to know where the inspiration came from too. . .

Oh Femme...why'd ya have to go and make me cry?  (it's all right though) This hits far too close to home right now.  Painfully sad and exellently written, I am impressed.

Well Femme, I'm glad you liked that line, and an interesting and deeply sad direction its taken you. Wonderful poem though, sorry about where it took you..... Hugs!

For those interested the poem is called
"each and every time" found at your local Passions book store in the romance section.
..... I should get a job doing this.

ROFL at Mr. Haley!  hehe (he hates that I think - to be called Mr. )     Anyway, you should all go back and read his poem that he mentioned above, "each and every time"...it's in here, not too far away!  It was an awesome piece, and that one line grabbed me and wouldn't let go!  I really liked the idea of being *under* the rain.  Yes, it sprouted a depressing piece from me, but that's okay!  I don't mind the rain at times...it cleanses me.  Thank you again James...

Serenity, Elizabeth, Alwye - It means alot to me to have you ladies replying still...Thanks a million!

And to the gentlemen - Thanks for loaning me your hankey, umbrella, etc.!!     You guys are the best!  hehe  I appreciate each and every one of you...you've kept me sane AND dry....  LOL

Wow...takes me back to many painful yet somehow comforting times in my life... I find the rain somewhat comforting but at the same time able to go with the frustrated mood...
