haiku 007

the chill air stirs
with a soundless shiver -
can you feel the rain?

haiku 008

no wind, no waves -
only soft silver moonlight
and my boat adrift.

you can change the font size under the edit mode Beki....at the top where it says font size 2 (or what ever) make that number a 3.

I really liked these both...but most of all the second of the two...it is such a peaceful, relaxing picture you have created in it. You are indeed a master of Haiku. I do hope you've been publishing these as the market out there for good Haiku is vast

I think there just fine; The more I see of this style the more I admire the effort that goes into it. Dont be disbonded by the lack of attention, its hard for some to appreciate
the thoughts and effort that go into such small delicate and imaginary pieces.

Beki, no these should not have got buried, happens sometimes, I've noticed. Yes you should try and edit the font , my poor eyes arn't what they used to be.

I like them both, but the second one really conjours up the image so vividly.

Thank you for the image and that wonderful peaceful feeling I get thinking about it.

...... I have a nice bottle of wine or two,  a friend and this silver moonlight.

Hello Beki, glad you bumped this up and I'm happy to do the same.  I enjoy reading these, especially 008.  There are so many poems posted each day it's tough to read them all, which I can't.  Sorry I missed this the first time.

Thanks everyone, for reading and for tolerating my selfish "bumping up" LOL
I have published over 3 dozen haiku in small press literary magazines but none for several years, am getting ready to send a bunch more out, perhaps even a collection. Thanks for the encouragement,  Hoot!
