Gazing at the clear blue skies
In a daze by the vibrant sun
I shed tears of joy
Because I am happy to be with you
I have exposed my spectrum of love

When you see the color red
Don't think that I am embarrassed by you
Know that I am proud of your love
Red is for our intensely heated passion

You are beautiful like autumn leaves
With an attitude that reflects on me like the sun
Orange represents your warmth

Golden is your skin tone
My first prize possession
Sweeter than the taste of honey
Yellow will retain this memory

Green is for your youthful appearance
So vigorous and full of life
Many women envy me because I have you

Blue expresses the way that I feel
When you are not around me
Being my other half
I feel imcomplete without you

The deepest feeling inside of me
Is represented by Indigo
For I wish that you never let me go

In love with your regal ways
Who would not love a man of your stature
Purple reveals how imperial you are

This spectrum that I show you
Will never fade
It remains brilliant and true
My rainbow of love represents seven colors
And those seven colors represent you

Mystery:

What a beautiful use of seven colours to express your love. The first stanza drew me in and the second stanza was my favourite, maybe because red is my favourite colour.  You certainly do have a way with words.
Excellent poem, it was creative and flowed perfectly. This is the first poem that I have read by you, and I must say I am impressed. I look forward to reading more poetry by you.  I wonder why no one else has discovered your gem.

Take care,
Melissa Honeybee

Mystery~

It's no mystery that I like this.
Such a myriad of colors.
A spectrum of vivid hues ...
splashed all over the canvas.
Lovely, just lovely.

Very beautiful and expressive with detail! I like how you ended it
Now every time I see a rainbow I will think of your poem!

Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O,no! it is an ever-fixed mark....William Shakespeare

Um....one more thing....er....don't the rainbows come AFTER the rain?  Okay...just making sure, cause I'm in the middle of a freakin' toad strangler in my life, and I'm sure hoping for a rainbow like this once it's over - IF I survive!      Thanks for a bit of hope!
