Grandma doesn't live here anymore
She's off on some unseen distant shore
This ironed will lady, who knew no bounds
now only utters unintelligible sounds.
That vague blank stare tells you
she's no longer there.
No Grandma doesn't live here anymore

***Nona,
The way you expressed such tragedy so eloquently nearly reduced me to tears.
another fantastic piece from you.

Nona:  I definately had to respond to this piece.  It touched me very deeply because it reminds me of my Grandma, who passed away a few years ago.  A bittersweet poem.

Take care,

Touching poem, Nona. It must be very heartbreaking.
