A Tear Fell
~*Marge Tindal*~

I shed a tear today
Silently, I felt it fall
You caught it
shared it
held it
felt it
then
suddenly
it wasn't
so big
after all

Elizabeth, my friend~
If I could but place my arms around
you and just squeeze you with a hug ...

I hope I hug you with what I write ..

Hoot~
If I can catch the tear of a friend ...
I've only paid back those who have
caught and held mine.
This is just the way I feel about
sharing and caring.
I did and I do.

Thank you for your welcomed comments.

Marge, this is a short and perfect poem.  I loved it.  Did you write this specifically for a friend of yours?  If so, you certainly have a great friend.  Whenever I shed tears beside one of my friends, I will always think of your poem.  Beautiful!

Take care,

Melissa~
Thank you for always liking what I write.
My heart dictates the thoughts.
Sometimes they are for me ...
sometimes just there to be said
for someone else.

I've had friends who have caught my tears
and shared my sorrow.  The greatest gift
I can return is to hold the tears of
someone else.

I'm glad you will remember these simple
lines the next time a friend needs you
or you need a friend.
No poet could ask for more.
Thank you again.

Denise~
Thank you, my friend.
I'm so pleased that it has pleased you.

Kaile~
I do so appreciate you taking a moment to
let me know that you were moved by this little piece.

I feel that tears are meant to be shared -
and in doing so - we dilute the sorrow.
Tears of joy are often the result of someone caring enough
to hold our tears in times of sorrow.

*Hugs* to you for your thoughtfulness.
