A Girl's Dream One day I plan to get married To a man that is sweet and caring I will have his child, maybe a few He will be the man of my dreams to His kiss will be gentle and soft And our love will be caught Just like the shooting stars from up above And, never will end, our fantastic love The day will come someday And in some special way Right now it is just a dream of a girl In this messed up and crazed out world My dream is to be walked down the aisle by my dad And not my brother who is still just a lad My life will be wonderfully good Like some fairy-tale that came out of a little kid's book All of my family will be there Or atleast the ones that give a damn and care My mom will cry, but only happily And, like at the mushy movies, very sappily The music will play good and loud No matter the size of the crowd Then on to our honey moon we will go Just like any one dreams of, we'll go to Kokomo Maybe to Cuba or Niagra Falls But we'll have fun behind those locked doors and walls I'll wake up a married girl And next to me will be the man that rocks my world Then we'll live a life full of laughter And very happily ever after Misty Lane 2/24/99 |

I enjoyed reading your poem. I just walked my daughter down that marriage aisle, and can't tell you how proud I was of her and excited about the wonderful guy she married. Dream's do come true, both hers and mine did that day, a week ago. Their honeymooning in Las Vegas. Your day will come |

I liked your poem, but being the pessimist I am...I too, once had that dream. Then, I actually got married, and it has become my nightmare. Just kidding  Keep dreaming and someday, it may come true, until then, write, write, write. My day did come. I ended up getting married in front of the justice of the peace and i got into a fight the night of my wedding with my husband and a few big ones since. I have been married almost 5 months and i still dont have it done the way i wanted it. i never did get my honey moon either. Its ok tho, someday i will get my big wedding and dream honey moon. DREAMS are G R E A T If it weren't for dreams, there'd be no such thing as "story book" endings. This writing was...nice. If only it really happened that way for the majority who decide to marry. |

Mystykyl, I hope this is the dream that comes true for my daughter even though I wont have to worry about it for awhile since she is but 12. And you know what? I will walk my bestest little friend down the aisle, cant wait!! Your poem brought a smile to my face Thanks!gil |
