There is a simple phrase I find
Which no sane man refutes....
Before you criticize a man
Walk a mile in his boots.

There's wisdom in these simple words.
What have you got to lose?
That way you'll have a mile head start
And a brand new pair of shoes!!!!

Balladeer~
And you KNOW I like this one, right?

Traipsing around in moccasins that
have seen a mile or two ...
I would welcome a walk in yours.

that we have come along
if you think that this line is his
my friend, sadly your wrong.

for though it is quite humorous
and suits him very fine
balladeer has shown us here
a slightly borrowed line =)

Well, I'm obviouslt a flop as a dry comic! Thanks for reading.

Nice catch, Kevin. I was so tickled when I saw it I felt it should be presented in rhyme

I for one am glad you did Deer, it is to your credit you did it so well.

I do have one small gripe though, I just got a poem published on the Canvas but the link brings up your Robot poem!!!

I don’t mind you stealing my shoes but paying those guys to do that is below the belt!!

(Though, truth be told, yours IS better than mine)

Thank you, dovey, munda and deVine one.

Craig, you sneaky devil, you, getting me to go over to Poet's Canvas to read your poems (which print out just fine, by the way) and advertising it here!!!! LOL! (they must have fixed the problem before I got there. My checked must have bounced   )

Excellent poems, by the way. Refusal was always one of my favorites of yours.

LOL...leave it to you to make comedy of one of my favorite sayings. Actually the saying is an American Indian saying that says" God grant that I may not judge my neighbor until I have walked a mile in his moccasans"
The words do ring true, one never knows what has brought someone to where he presently is and if we were to have lived his/her life, we may be in the same exact place.

I like your short words of wisdom, they're so much different than the ones I usually hear, like "Stop!" "Go!" "Jump!" "NO!" "Yes!" "LookOut!" and the occasional "Yikes!"

Great verse, Balladeer.
