If I Could Read You Like A Book
By bboog

If I could read you like a book
You would wipe the pages clean.
With half a smile and half a glean
Like an elf who is never seen.

If I could read you like a card
You would draw a face for me.
Humpty-Dumpty fallen off the wall
(Not a pleasant scene)

If only book labels could I read
You would scratch my name from yours.
Or place masking tape right over it
And pull it from the stores.

Still, your photo is my favorite bookmark
Reminding me of times together.
Your face is slipped between the pages of my
Heart, and is marked in it forever.

BB~
Wonderfully done.

'Your face is slipped between
the pages of my
Heart, and is marked in it forever.'
Welcome to Passion's.

So well done but yet so sad, remember me it cries.

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

To Denise, Jas Canvey, Marge & Helmut: Thank you for reading and commenting on this work. This is my first "rhyming" style poem that I've done in many years. My second one is posted on the Critical forum. Thank you for your kind words and thoughts.
warmest personal regards,
bboog
