Always in Darkness Always in darkness, may we reap our sorrow Where bitterness' clutches tighten Breaking hearts, healing over in thread bare scabs Throbbing in spite when memories surface To make us remember what we wished not to know Creeping, sliding, crying Always in darkness In darkness, wolves howl with mighty, eerie croons Matching the moans of ghosts fading in and out again Out of our lips, eyes, minds and hearts Seeping through the roads and valleys To chase away children, wanderers, and send shivers down spines Knowing that the evil shall lurk Always in darkness But there is a better side of things we know Hiding from the darkness' embrace of the unknown For what better way to smile in the sun's warmth Than to run in sunshine after winter's black bite? I know of no greater peace, contentment and dream That to know that I will never be able to see anything Like stars Had they not been Always in Darkness And you're a star too, just_another_fe.  I know this wasn't exactly the best of poems to give anyone hope, but what better way to have that hope than to look up, into the deep, dark, enigmatic, magical night, and see a star twinkle and wink back at you?
