The Reign of Rain

A house is a home, but the queen had her palace
The king of pain now alone on the throne
His lies and deceit the cause of her malice
Lingering in loneliness, for his queen has flown

Tarnished and tainted the left-handed jewel
The sour storms of sin take the blame
In ice cold sheets, congratulate the castle’s fool
For he is the one that reigns the rain

Excellent poem, Marina. I can, unfortunately, relate this one to my past experiences. Well written!

well heh ... what's the use of a castle and kingdom ... if you can't rule as the queen
... fortunately ...
my queen is still my princess

I think the length is just right with the ending being just due.
Nice piece.
