  sharp intake,
      frigid breath,
fingers--crude--telling lies--
  eyes that meet
      and speak the truth
in silent compromise.

   On battleground,
       the corpse, she lies,
in sad repose, sweet remiss..
   silently--
       remembering--
electric sparks on fingertips...
