The Heavens Cry

In Mount Morris Township
Tonight thereís one life less.
Somewhere thereís a mother
Whose pain you just canít guess.

She lost her child today,
She didnít cry alone.
The angels wept in unison
When they took Kayla home.

The nation mourns collectively
Against the dying of the light.
One thing is for certain
The heavens cry tonight.

This is being a sad message that I hope I will never have to hear about my children.
I cannot imagine how this mother must feel.
I pray for her and for the child.

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

This is a beautiful tribute to a precious lil angel.
I keep wondering if her parents had the chance to tell her how much they love her before she left for school.
Thank you for this sad and yet beautiful read.

No one, indeed, can imagine that mother's grief. I find it inconceivable to imagine.

We're all still shocked here in Michigan about this one. . .this is a wonderful tribute. . . this child has found peace, but did it have to be this way?

This is a touching tribute, Tara. I am crying too. Such an unspeakable tragedy.

I heard a brief bit about this during the morning, and my stomach turned. This is a beatiful poem although, very sad of course.

Tara~
A wonderfully moving reminder
that our hearts are with those
who cry over the loss of a child.

Thank you for your comments.  It's a shame it took such a horrible event to inspire me to write.

Head bowed humbly in prayer, asking for the saving of all little souls lost to the violence of guns in our schools.

Amen.

Tara, yes it is a horrible and inconceivable event that brought about this poem and all the others that have been shared here with these children in mind, but I have to say that you've expressed the tragedy and the eternal truth so well with this writing. thank you, Tara.
