Do not think I'm naive,
Just because I'm sixteen.
I've been down roads rough,
I live a life that's tough.

You can't come in,
I won't let  enter.
There's no way in my life,
That you could be the center.

Do not think I'm naive,
And offer me your sleeve.
For when my tears start falling,
You won't be the one I'm calling.

I've seen your acts of hate,
That leave young souls in despair.
I've seen you be so nice,
The next moment you don't care.

So do not think I'm naive,
It's time for me to leave.
Now think about the words I spoke,
Take them serious, they're no joke.

If time cannot heal your pain, you can always cry on my shoulder. ~Jenn~

You sure show alot of emotions in this one.
Being an old guy I sometimes forget what it was like to be sixteen and how tough the world seem to be.
Nice job with the wording here Lynn

Lynn, this was a bit painful for me.  I am
well, WELL PAST 16, but I am still naive.
And I recognize the protective armour all
too well.  But I  cannot deny the essential
goodness of people, even thru all the pain.
Heartfelt, strong, and leaves me knowing
that you will make it.  HUGS.
