-it's all gonna be all right-
How much can you change?
How much can you stay the same?
Your girl believes in you
As much as she believes in god.
She goes to church every Sunday.
You're in trouble.

Who's sicker: the singer for singing his song,
The audience for listening
Or the manufacturer of the instruments behind him,
Easily drowning out the inaudible parts of pain?
I asked you a question;
I never expected a reply.

Things are inevitable.
Truth is inedible,
And leaves a nasty streak in your mouth.
Plants say get high.
Clouds say don't cry.
I say goodbye.
It's all gonna be all right.

I don't know...this reminds me of Dylan's "It's Alright, Ma I'm Only Bleeding," or maybe it's more because of the title, but I do like it.

As usual...you touch on things in such a different way...

I'm always at a loss as to how to respond to your writings...

I just know that I like them...

 I love the time
and in between
the calm inside me
in the space
where I can breathe...

This just echoed in the empty pit of my soul,
left me feeling haunted...

b.... this just struck me..

Things are inevitable.
Truth is inedible,

as an ultimate truth statement.

Bsq, this is poweful and it does read like a song...get your guitar and go for it...excellent emotional expression in this cryptic poem!!
take care, janet marie

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch
You never knew what I loved in you
I don't know what you loved in me
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be...

I love you...always.

Claire,
That's one of many Dylan songs I've never heard. Actually, the title comes from the pre-chorus of John Lennon singing Revolution.

Breathe,
Thanks.

serenity,
Why so empty?

Parker,
Thanks.

Corazon,
Also thanks (I'm not very talkative tonight). Glad you enjoyed.

Janet Marie,
No luck with the guitar; I play piano.

Wow...

I too love the lines:

Things are inevitable.
Truth is inedible,
And leaves a nasty streak in your mouth.
