And so we dance beneath the canopy of celestial delight.
Players of a higher sort,
And yet we play not beyond our own skills.
The stars and moon laugh gaily at us
As we attempt to transcend into their realm of knowledge.
But nothing of malicious intent, do they discourage our play.
And so we interact with one another,
Acting out our destined scenes
In hopes of reaching that level of intimate eternity
where the stars and moon frolic in there celestial ecstasy.

short poems can be just as lovely, as you have so shown with this piece of work. i liked the imagery of the celestial heavens. i got the feeling that this was about reaching higher and striving for more than what we are/have...am i right? thanks for posting this.

Thanks. I just work with what god has given me. Being a 17 year old male with clinical insomnia has given me a unique perspective on life. What is a man to do when he can not sleep? Write!

This is great.
Nothing like sleep deprivation
to get the juices flowing.
Why don't you call this "Insomnia"?
Or Dream of an insomniac.
