Would the reason to become whole be man's only dream?
Trapped within a fleeting song the words are whispered softly, but the ear is dulled by too many earnest pleas.
Can love be so strong as to heal the weakened soul, and can a harlot learn to be an angel within his adoring hold?
Can a man dare himself to let go of all the pain,
to safely fall within her stirring wake, void of all the shame.
When two become one... perhaps all fades...but in this realm where reality screams...we hide our faces behind a stony gaze.

~and i liked this one too! *smiles*. giving yourself completely to another person is not as easy as it sounds. it takes a lot of faith and trust, and time. this piece really hit home for me. thanks

"Can love be so strong as to heal the weakened soul"

The questioning theme of this piece gives it its life. I enjoy a poem that asks the reader to envision and examine principles of human characteristics. I really enjoyed this!  Welcome to Passions, Manchester.
