Tranquility, though small the piece may be
Amidst the urban chaos, it is mine;
A deed so states; this is my property
My privacy is closely kept by pine,
A fence that lets me view the clouds and sky
And tips of houses, nothing more or less;
A juniper is home for friends that fly;
This is my favorite place, I must confess;
Gazeboes, tiny, hang upon each post
Awaiting bright new flowers come the Spring
The season of the four I love the most;
Rebirth begins and causes me to sing
Reminding me that death is not the end
But lends itself again to life anew
It is a truth on which I can depend
To part the clouds and bid the gloom adieu.

For all life’s clamor I have found the cure;
It waits for me outside my garden door.

Nature and peace wait outside your kitchen door.  I love springtime the best myself, this was lovely Denise.
P.S.  I'll repost my fav spring poem here in OP6 if you care to have a looksy.

 May the world hug you today,
With it's warmth and love.
I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart,
That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world,
Wishing you well and
wishing you love......

We have some wild turkeys who have been coming into the yard...    guess it takes a turkey to know a turkey...  but kind of nice to go out into the back yard...

It waits for me outside the garden door. Beautiful, beautiful!

"It is a truth on which I can depend"

It is as if the old adage, "...like a breath of fresh air," was derived from this very poem, Denise. Wonderful writing and sentiments shared.

we love our gardens as well ... spend many an hour there ... just day-dreaming and watching the birds and squirrels and one bully butterfly that tries to chase everything else away
I miss spring

Hi Denise,

I can so understand what you are saying about your garden. Three years ago I bought this house and found myself out side one day planting roses, Some one once told me there could not be enough flowers on this earth and they were right. I find when all else fails and I can't find peace of mind I will visit my garden as well.
