Ahh yes, another sad depressing piece from the Prince of despair

I have never had a girlfriend
One who would hold me tight
My heart she would mend
And make everything right

She would bring calm to my fears
Give me hope for a new day
Wipe away all my tears
Tell me it is going to be ok

I have demons I cannot fight
I need someone to understand
Someone to show me the light
Someone to lend a helping hand

Where can I find such a person
Who will not judge me by appearance
My situation will only worsen
Unless someone will give me a chance.

Mr.Mistikman I think that girl might be closer than you think.
There are alot of young ladies in here and from what I`ve been reading I think it would be safe to say that not all of them are married?
I like the way that you`ve put this one together.
Good Luck and thank`s for the read.

Heh, thanks RufffRyder, but I was thinking more of someone who I could know in real life. The people in here are wonderful, but unfortunately also spread across the globe.

RufffRyder- Love may not know distance, but with the inclusion of distance, the nature of the love has to change to accomodate it, or the love will die. I am more interested in a type of love that does not need to compensate for distance.

Seymour Tabin- Thank you

Ya know, there's that old saying that you've got to love yourself before you can love someone else???

Sound like a nagging mom, don't I?

My dear friend. First..the poem is very good. It's nice to see the progressive improvement in your work..I know you're working hard to become better and it shows (bravo!). Now...you are far to young to be the king of despair. Perhaps you should settle for prince of despair right now. I know these words are no comfort to you right now, but your time will come.. there is a season for everything...it's just not yet the season of Mistikan...hang on though...life awaits around the corner. I admire your spirit, your gentlemanly ways and your talent.

Corinne- Yes, exactly   Thanks anyway

Poet deVine- Thank you, I try   With my luck when my ship comes in I will be at the airport   I try really hard to keep a positive outlook on life, but it is really hard at times, staring in the face of so much defeat. I shall not give up the fight just yet though.

Very good writing (or typing) mistik.    I have one question...r u sure we aren't twins or something?    J/K. The only reason I ask this is because it seems as though when u write u express the same feelings and are going through the same things as I am  . Anywhoo, chin up and smell the cookies...you'll find a girlfriend that will love  you and understand ur feelings and see you for the nice and sensitive person you are   : /font>

To be or not to be...that is the question.[hamlet]

jmlee12345- Thanks, and its still High School   I think there is a poetry and literature club, but I'm not exactly a club type of person, thanks for the suggestion anyway

chic- Unless there is something my parents forgot to tell me, pretty sure   I hope you are right, I really need someone I can talk to and hold in real life. Beging perpetually alone is really bumming me out!

If your words are accurate, than I am held within the bounds of the same boat as you.  In a realm of superficial role models, all sense of character is lost to most.  Hold on to that fire Mistik.  You have no clue what will happen if it is estinguished

When you least expect it...
And when you are not looking...
WHAM!
You have chosen a very good selection of words here to make up the emotion of "doubt" and "want".  I'm serious...the "WHAM-FACTOR" is ever-present.

You know the hardest parts of life are those we face alone.  But as those times pass us by it makes in use virtues and experience that we could not get any other way.  Being alone sometimes gives us the knowledge of what it truly means to have someone.  Look at this time as the forgement of you and a time where you are placed in the fire.  You may be weak now but as you are cooled from the flame you will be stronger and sharper in the end.  Like a sword forged in fire so is your life.  I look forward to the finshed product of you in your life.  You have great talent that is shared with so much life now.....Please share on

Mistikman, being young (and as sensitive and perceptive as your poetry tells me you are) is so difficult. I know, because a few years ago, I was young too. (Yes! It's true!) I know that the feelings you have are very real and natural, especially for someone with your heightened sense of creativity and awareness. I wish I had more than just encouragement for you, and I do urge you to continue examining and expressing your feelings, but don't forget to just let yourself "be" as often as you can...take pleasure in spontaneity and wonderment of the world around you...maybe you'll bump into a special someone who's just "being" too. Much peace to you tonight...keep writing!

Manchester- Thanks, I plan on keeping it lit as long as I can, it is all that is keeping me going.

January Flowers- Thank you

First__Knight- Why thank you for that unusually eloquent response   It is well recieved. Whatever doesnt kill me can only make me stronger.

Meadowmuse- Thank you. Encouragement is still quite useful for people my age, even if we dont admit it   I thank you for your support during this rough time in my life.

A question...out of pure nosiness...I admit..

But how old are you anyways?  (going on Poet Devines and Meadowmuses comments)

It DOES happen...maybe not how you want nor expect...but it IS out there....

 I love the time
and in between
the calm inside me
in the space
where I can breathe...

Breathe~- Of years on this Earth I have but few. Only 17 to credit to my name at last count. I feel I am much older than that mentally and emotionally however. I grew up with a turbulent family life, and it forced me to grow up far faster and far earlier than most.
