Spring in the Carolinas

Spring is right around the corner, you can feel it in the air
A robin sits perched on a tree singing a lovely beautiful song
Spring is everywhere

Here in North Carolina, the dogwoods are starting to bloom
Flowers of magistic colors everywhere I turn
Taking away the sadness of winter, the dark and weary gloom

Carolina blue with puffy little clouds spread around the sky
Pine trees standing proud and strong
A balmy ocean breeze blows across my face as the day passes by

Sunshine pours all around me, as I listen to nothing but peace
The aroma of dogwood trees fills me with every breath that I take
I am hoping and wishing that this day would never cease

Spring in the Carolinas...what a beautiful site
Nothing can compare to the paradise of this state
Perfect day, perfect season, everything is right.

Although I`ve never lived there I did have the pleasure of visiting a dear friend in the Carolina`s last year.
I have to agree that the Carolina`s are very beautiful except during a tropical storm
Nice refreshing read
Thank you.

Amen to this wonderful poem. I'm originally from Charleston, SC but I've been in Charlotte NC and it's a great place to be.

Amy~
I enjoyed your Carolina Spring.
Some very fond memories I have of that
great state.

I have friends in Murphy and try to get there every few years.  Have friends with cabins in the Cherokee area and it's one of my favorite places to visit.

White-water rafting on the Nantahala is the greatest adventure I've had in recent years.
I may return in July to do the rapids again.

Thanks for the 'Chamber Of Commerce' report !

Lovely picture you painted. I am currently trying to find info on an ancestor from SC. You make me want to go there in person to look him up. Nice work!

Wonderful memories of spring in South Carolina, home of my college alma mater. Thanks for the flashback.

(*Breathing deeply...AAAhhhhh!*)

Amy, this is marvelous, your display of Carolina's springtime.  I guess we must be neighbors, as I'm in South Carolina!  This was the perfect poem to read tonite, after having "lived" the Carolina Springtime just this weekend.

Beautiful poetic display of our natural...WONDERFUL...season.

Ah, you're making me homesick again. I've got a place just west of Asheville that I get to 4 or 5 times a year. I agree with every word you say in this wonderful piece.
