J.F. After reading this a couple time`s,the poem FOOTPRINTS come`s to mind.
Our children dont come to us for comfort when they`re having a good day but they will come to us when they`re having a bad one.
We understand that and we know that they love us just the same, just as our Father know`s and understands.
Ya know there are alot of people in here that can do a heck of alot better job at answering this than me.
I look forward to reading their replies because I too have these Questions.
Very nice,well worded read.
Thank you

~January

WOW! This poem has left me thinking and thinking, and thinking some more!   You ask some very important questions, ones that are also not very easily anwered or able to be defined. My personal opinion on the Lord and why people believe in him only "some" of the time is... we allow our doubts and our insecrurities to get the best of us...Why? Well I guess because we are only human. I have to agree with Ruffryder on this one. I'll let someone with maybe a different "spin" on this reply to this poem as well. Look forward to reading future comments/responses to it. Very nice poem. Congrats.

Thank you, Rufff and Amy!

I woke this morning with this feeling of "why"...and this poem came easily off the top of my head.  It seems that when things were at a very low point for me, I leaned into the fellowship of others at my church, in a local single again class...but since things now have seemed to level out, I am less active in my church groups.  Sad, how this happens.  I pray, daily...but when things are at a low, I tend to "talk" more with God and keep him in the foreground of my life.  I was just questioning (not really expecting answers) why this is so in most of us.  I am going to try to "include" Him more in my times of peace, too.

Again, thanks for your kind comments!

Gets the mind working...and brings us back to what is important...and forgotten so easily..

Beautiful poem and an eye opener...

Thanks for the gentle reminder...

 I love the time
and in between
the calm inside me
in the space
where I can breathe...
