As soft as death-what a cushion to life! As soft as death-what a cushion to life! Silence is Eternity's wife And a quiet aid-also a faithful friend She'll accompany us all to the very end And from the end back again Like a shadow whos shades never wane During pain in love--during lamenting she is always there sympathizing And bargains with neither heaven nor hell A laodicean maid that serves Time well I believe that she is alive and dead She's my morpheus and she's my bed [This message has been edited by Poeminister (edited 02-27-2000).] |
