RAIN

The rain comes falling softly,
From a dark and troubled sky,
It rumbles discontented,
With howling winds that sigh.

The birds sit All at rest,
The trees do bow and sway,
The rabbits underground,
As the storm does have it's way.

Tomorrow holds the freshness,
Of a newly fallen rain,
The air becomes so sweet,
And the land is new again.

The sparkling of the dew,
And the coolness of the air,
The crispness of the sunlight,
Through the misty morning air.

So beautiful....I love the rain.  We had our first rain since last year last night, and I savored every moment.  Thank you for sharing this lovely piece.

Oh, I love the rain.  Possibly the only thing I love more in the morning air after a stormy night.  Lovely imagery, here.  Good poem.
