You should read Hoot-Owl's post "Humbled" and see the picture to understand this poem

The Little hand

The hand of knowledge reaches in
To save the little unborn soul
To mend his wounds so he will live
To some day see the light unfold

The practiced hand in all its strength
Passes hope to next of birth
To one who will in future months
Take wonder at the things on earth

A hand of healing, hand of hope
Giving life to life’s own son
And life then reaches back to hold
The finger of the learned one

A simple gesture, a subtle touch
With little unborn hand unfurled
The child reaches out for life
And grasps the conscience of the world

And those who would proclaim that life
Is only valid after birth
Took pause to reevaluate
This little unborn child’s worth

No words exist to quite explain
The magnitude of such a sign
An unborn child touched a hand
And taught us all of love divine

A little reach as if to say
To all of you, my fellow man
Perhaps someday when you’re in need
I’ll be there to give a hand

Elizabeth,
Your are a very busy bee
Putting words to coming we.
Your clever words extroplate
The origins of create.
But in a nice and gentle way
With ne'er a stroke of grey.

Absolutely incredible Liz...to even have my name connected in any way to this makes me feel proud. Wonderful work, perhaps one of the best I've seen from you

Thank you all for such kind remarks, and Ruth, your name should be there at the top, because you inspire others to write more than you think you do
