           Words of call

Enraptured pen of verse and rhyme,
Has captured me in timeless time.
Feeding into my wishing well,
Those whispers of a lovers spell.

Striking the umbilical cord.
Commanding heavens harps applaud.
The essence overwhelms my dreams.
Entering into every theme.

Her echoes knock on every door.
And pays no heed to any law.
She butterflies within my head
And seeds it like a flower bed.

Shawls me with her feathered quill,
Words that bring my pulse to still.
Dares the Gods that made our fate.
Slow the hour glass to late.

How can I answer such a call?
Except to offer up, my all.

Oh to feel helplessly smitten by words of fine silk...spun so delicately, and displayed to lure all who look...aaahhh.  I know that feeling all too well. Keep your head on straight, and your heart at a distance!  LOL  Just funning with you sir!     I love reading your works, because there's always some deep emotional "stir" in there somewhere...Beautiful poem here.

Sy,
Did you ever think her call might be
An answer to a call from thee
Her pen is in reciprocate
To verses of her heart's elate
And she perhaps would never write
If not inspired by his light
So back and forth the poetry goes
In candelabra's subtle glows
Love ya

Your words have me smitten
for what you have written
I remember from a time
I wrote such tender rhyme

But truth has pressed delete
and a heart's now incomplete
and all those wonderous words
are forever by time blurred

Lovely poem Sy.

Seymour~
This is probably one of the tenderest
pieces I've seen you do.

'She butterflies within my head
And seeds it like a flower bed.'

You have 'offered up my all' with this beautiful rendering.

Deep and beautiful words, Sy.  Indeed, only by offering up all.
