I seek in my tomorrows,
...memories of today,
To lose my pain and sorrow,
...and smell life's sweet bouquet.

I'll once again feel summer rain,
...fall from the skies above,
Hold you gently in my arms,
...and whisper words of love.

On the winds, a madrigal,
...brings forth the songs of spring,
In pathless woods, mine pleasure seek,
...the joys to me you bring.

I journey through the wall of tears,
...sunlit days of soothing clime,
I seek mirage of love gone by,
...I drift on river time.

Above high peaks of pristine glory,
...altars to the sky,
Down below the peaceful valley,
...nevermore to cry.

I walk amid high mountain's meadow,
...I hear your siren's call,
Breathe in the scent of fragrant pine,
...my heart you do enthrall.

Once upon a summer's eve,
...in moon's translucent beams,
Within the arms of welkin's night,
...I dance upon my dreams.

Mike, such a delicate framework you've given this piece...the subtle  power within the elemental references is inspiring, to say the very least. Each line reads as if written from within a fragrant mountain meadow, alive with the restful rhythm of the earth's dreaming breath. I could read this a million times over and love it all the more...I think it's the serenity of the dream, overshadowing the sorrow, that makes it so expressive, for me, at least. I don't mean to carry on so, but this seems to be just what I needed to read today. Thank you!

Mike~
You have such a lovely way with thoughts.
This one is certainly no exception.
I like the gentleness of it.
