Today, this very moment
as the screams
in my head
from my mouth
echo and resound
in the frustration
of unreason
I look at you and I wish
I could kill you
not with a gun
or a knife
with my bare hands
I want to strangle the life
out of you
like you have done me...
but in your death
I would be kinder
and quicker
than you have been
dragging it out
out for years
and
years

just more stuff coming out...I am actually getting better, well better than this poem sounds...sighs and hugs

I'm glad you put that disclaimer... I was lacing up my steel-toed boots... I don't need to remind you why, do I? *G*

Gritty and full of grief... and oh yeah... good! *S*

Corazon, this was way too real for me. My only thought about this very powerful poem, is get rid of this problem.... Then smile and write something sweet.

If only we could simply "get rid of the problem."   I enjoyed, Corazon. And was frightened.

Oh hon...this one brings tears to my eyes...I know how this feels oh too well. I remember in one moment of desperation oh so many years ago handing him a loaded handgun and telling him to shoot me and put me out of my misery rather than kill me slowly like he was doing. I'm glad that didn't happen, but there are times when the hurt is so strong, the need to get out overwhelming that we become desperate and can't think. Please know I am here for you whenever you need to talk. E-mail me or send a message and we can meet on Yahoo messanger. Until then, hold strong and here's a big hug.

I can feel the strength that you draw from getting these feelings down on paper. The release of it can feel good and can be very good for you......a great way to rid the system of unwanted viruses. Keep it up, Corazon, and get through it. Better days are coming, I'm sure

I could have written these very words a few years back. They hit the nail right on the head. I am glad that you are getting this out of your system. Brighter days are definitely ahead! HUGS
