Some Daffodils ventured out in January
Amid the brown leaves of winter
February, they were spread like
Butter on hard cold toast

Today a bird awoke me
Then, when I ventured
Out the door
The Forsythia had
Burst in bloom
Shining forth
Like
Sunshine
On
A
Silver
Plate

Wow! What beautiful imagery! This is a very nice piece of work. I really liked the last line! Keep writing, and I'll keep reading.

Wow, Septsong, what a beautiful poem.  You paint such a vivid picture with your imagery and unique style. It's hard to find the words to describe how captiviating this piece of art is. This is by far your best poem. Applause!

Take care,
Melissa Honeybee
