The snow is melting
Soon the buds will grow
And the signs of life
Will soon start to show

The air gets warmer
Gone the days of cold
The sun once again
I've it's warmth to hold

Soon grass is greener
It will need a mow
Goodbye once again
To the cold of snow

Excitment of spring
Is now in the air
You can breathe it in
Feel it everywhere

The birds are chirping
Singing their spring song
Just round the corner
It won't be to long

Thank you Rebecca, this was just what I needed to get through the last few weeks of winters grasp. The beautiful spring images you portray make my heart sing with gladness.

now this is the reason I come here. To be lifted up and out of this crappy winter, same reason I wrote summer storm. Thank you for a nice little view of spring

Thank you all! I'm ready for spring, as we had a nice day today, a glimpse of it, in the 60's.  Glad you could all get a whiff.

Janet, I reply in here but don't write in here too often anymore.  Thank you! Most of it is spiritual as you know.

Ok..first I'll tell you that I like your poem...it's refreshing. But I won't make silly remarks like "what's snow"? Or "but my grass is always green"....

I'm hoping that your winter is over soon so you won't have to be cooped up in the house or shovel the driveway or shiver when you take the kids to school.... 'cause I'm your friend (and that's why I'm not saying any of that other stuff either!)

Well, I'll tell ya what.  That darn hurricaine followed me home from Houston.  Nothing but high winds and rain here in CA.  So i'll tell you what - if you see Spring in your future...more power to ya.  I'm gonna play in the rain a little bit.

Beautiful poem, Rebecca.  Maybe the sun will shine for me yet.

I've got apple-mint, and pine-apple sage, Hibiscus in leaf--loving every minute of it.
A lovely reminder, whitedove, thank you.

Beautiful.

Spring, the eternal hope of all that is
to be.  The promise of new beginnings.
I anxiously await it's coming.

Look, there are robins on the lawn !

LOL Sharon! What would I do without you around to remind me of that all the time?  Oh, but thanks for not saying it.  haha...guess what?  WE have RAIN!!  Lots of it, thunderstorms. I'll send some to you!

Michael, as the long as the wind is to your back.     I'm gonna be playing in the rain here too for a couple of days. But hey, it brings good things, right?  It can't stay that way forever. So one of these days the sun will shine!

Serenity that smells good I bet. Enjoy it. Thank you!

Marge yes. Exactly right, and this rain we're now getting will bring just that. Life again!  I don't see Robins yet, but soon I'm sure

Thank you DA. That summer of yours sure did seem short didn't it?  It did to me.     Yes, spring...ahh, it can be nice days without all the humidity. That's a killer around here!

Jeremyc...I'm with you. YEAH!!!  Glad you enjoyed it!

Marilyn, we started late here. But only in spots now there is some snow. Most of it is gone, you can actually see the ground. But it's rained so hard, we have flooding in areas right now. Not bad though...I can't wait for spring.

Thanks to all of you!

Ahhhh, spring... that 48-72 hour period between the cold rain and the sweltering summers. *G* My daffodils are already gone and my yard needs cut AGAIN already! *G*

Great poem, Dovie!!! C'mon down and warm up! *G*

I sometimes wonder just how many care... about a song in the breeze or some emotional air, who could get excited over seasons, where it reminds us we'er older than, yet here I'm astonished of those that kare or who may be beleavin what's in the air...(WHAT CAN I SAY..!) Of course it's good..!

I love the way you take the spatula and plaster yer words on papers. Duck or strapping tape works well if your in a hurry... But I love your spatula..!
