Heart's Desire

Flowing silken tablecloth replacing
tattered torn lace
that once resembled the intricacy's
of a sheltered heart.
Maturing intellect allows hearts release
from protective custody
as playfully you create a field of desires
that dance in delight.
Knowing uninhibited freedom releases
butterflies of fright
you listen carefully as the forest of temptation
speaks softly within.
The reins of your lonely soul cry for a moment
of pure bliss
as logic steals fantasy's before their allowed
to elate into reason.
Always returning to a cautiously constructed
barrier banning heart's desire.

 ...every moment of every day...
your still with me in every way.
every poem and song...
every rhyme and verse...
your still here...like a beautiful curse.

very interesting and depressing. I really liked how you formed your thought though. Good piece, and I hope to see more original pieces such as this

Gloria...I think this is perhaps my favorite of all the pieces you have written. I love the imagery you use in it to create a detailed picture for your reader. Beautiful, yet sad, this is in it's nature. Wonderful job
