In Too Deep
~Marge Tindal~

Sometimes late at night,
as I lay down to slumber
into my mind you come,
my thoughts start to wander.

I smile with easy-remembering
at some romantic thing you said.
I turn, I toss,
I snuggle deeper in my bed.

I close my eyes
and try counting sheep.
But, sleep won't come
I'm in too deep.

Deeply and totally in love with you.
It makes no sense to me,
as to why I'm here awake,
instead of in your arms
where I should be.

Your memories surround me,
like a blanket of sweet caress.
I pull the memories close
trying once more to sleep.
But ... sleep won't come.
I'm in too deep.

When I'm on the computer half the night ... could this be the reason my wife taps me on the shoulder once an hour ?
and tells me what time it is

maybe she loves me

Marge(y) - this is great and quite the heart thumper! Nope - sheep never work, my friend, try the alphabet! (Backwards too - to make it interesting...hehe)
