I still hear the echoing of your voice
As you said my name, the ringing in my ears
Became moments in time that
I can still recall after all these years

Life is strange and full of change
I can’t remember yesterday, yet there you are
Little things I had thought were lost
Come back to me at unsuspecting times
Little things remembered, then again lost
So it seems except in dreams,
Nighttime recurring visions of restless doubt
The healing process comes after the pain
Wounds run deeper than at first thought
And I lean on the past like a walking cane
But the past is slipping fast

I can still taste the warmth of your tears
Though it’s no longer love, it’s something;
Something to hold onto in the night
Nights like this when there’s nothing

Nothing sometimes means everything

"Nothing sometimes means everything", nicely said sometimes it is meant for us to look back on the things we had and smile, but something that was told to me a longtime is never retrace your steps, if you left a person alone, you left them alone for a reason, the key hear is moving on!
good poem!!!!

I like the way you express yourself.
So many things we use as a crutch but like you said,
It's something to hold onto in the night.

That line speaks volumes.

I had to read this because a favorite of my own poems is titled the same. It's interesting though our styles are different how amazingly close the two poems are in content, meaning. I will post mine so you can see what I mean

 ...every moment of every day...
your still with me in every way.
every poem and song...
every rhyme and verse...
your still here...like a beautiful curse.
your my inspiration, your my fire...
your words fill me with poetic desire.
Every moment of every day...
your still with me in every way.
