'Deer O dear
our Balladeer
he thinks I'm from Australia!

I sniff
I cry and wonder
why?
and well, I just
flumph in sad despair

yet
what could I expect
though, really

from one who lurks about
in woods and gardens
with naught
but a hat and a Vienna sausage
to keep the sunlight out…

O dear old 'deer
you're without compare
in confusing my sweet place
of origin

So here I shout

NEW ZEALAND!

I shout it loud
and hope he hears

(I also add
I said I would
three times is all it took
and give a smirking smile)

I heard those New Zealand girls were known for their sense of humor.  You are so cute Kamla.

Kamla~
Balladeer will have great folly with this.
As we know, he's quite the 'dear/deer'.
Wonderful spoof !

Looks like our friend Balladeer
Goofed a goof big time, I fear
She'll let you know it, by and by
At least you didn't call her a guy
Let's get it right, as she expects
Her nationality and her sex
She whips a retort with no dilly dally
You in a poem, me in the Alley
Sorry Kamla,
for our goofs

Oh me, Oh my, lil Severn lass
Your sex and locale slipped right past
This weary sailor of low repute.
I didn't know very much of you.

You say you are an island gal
Are you also an aboriginale?
When winter strikes you in July,
I'm roasting on the other side.

The internet is a wond'rous place
Where we can meet "face-to-face."
And for this blessing I say, "Great!"
(Don't worry, Kamla, I'll not call you "Mate.")
