She seemed so bright amidst the dark
That the stars burned with envy
The sky opened up to swallow her whole
And the clouds fell to the sea
I was pretending that the sun still shone
And illuminated the bluest of skies
Until one day I looked up unawares
And beheld those same knowing eyes
Transfixed, she held me for a time
That seemed to last forever
With the sweetest of smiles,
Her eyes seemed to say,
“Never"

As I was reading your poem, I thought of myself!
THE EYES NEVER LIE, Keep up the good work

this poem is perfect!! so full of imagery and well expressed emotions...it has a mystic quality about it, that i liked.
great work..
take care, janet marie

 I love you
Is all that you can't say-
Years gone by and still...
Words don't come easily
Like I love you, I love you...
But you can say baby...
Baby can I hold you tonight
Maybe if I told you the right words
At the right time you'd be mine...
