Look at the stars, Honey...
Remember when we cared little about money.
All we could think about was when
We'd be together again.

Simple and honest...
Days of youth were upon us.
Crazy in love...
Believin' you were my blessing from Heaven above.

Innocence
From the beginning we didn't dispense
Of pure living,
Both of us, taking and giving.

Building our way,
Making tracks for a brighter day.
Times of penny-pinchin'
Turned to ways of fruitful spending.

What once was plentiful
Became smothering and sinful
In ways of greed
And the penitence we heed.

Simplicity was long dismissed...
Forgetting ways of happiness.
Our once inane lustful drive
Became quickly much less alive.

Memory fades with all the attraction
Satisfaction
Now is hard to come by
So we no longer try.

Your business ways
And lack of home stays
Pushed love aside...
Mistrust became our guide.

Communtication fails to work.
I recognize murk
Waters in which we feed,
Hostility breeds.

I know not who you have become.
What has begun
Is seperation of two souls
With irrepairable holes.

I know not who I am
Or on what ground I stand...
Myself is lost
At irrepressible cost.

Finding ways once again
To start anew, without sin
And be the person I was before
You and I lost life's amour.

The nothingness we've created
Is full of hatred
And it muses me still
To think of our beginning will.

In the wake of our destruction
I search for a way to function
In a life without you now...
I'm fighting for peace, somehow.

I must say,you do have a way with word`s.
I hope that you are able to find this peace that you so much deserve.

I think you have captured this situation perfectly!  I think many of us can relate to this overwhelming feeling of disbelief, when we look at someone we once loved and say, "Wow, are we the same people?"  And it's scarey to know that people can change so quickly inside.  From loving and passionate, to cold and hateful.  I shake my head in disbelief myself...it scares me.  Unfortunately, emotion drives the ugliness inside us all - and we all have emotion.  ARGH  Best wishes to you - I think you and I are walking close to the same path!     Thank you for all your support and kindness.  It means alot to me right now.    pFF

Thank You for your greeting!(and the message)
You have beautiful work!, In life good things usually come to an end, and out of these experiences are usually a lesson to be learned, try not to be too disappointed about certain situations that occur in your life, just take the good out of each and move on. I can say that because I have been in this situation plenty of times before, and when things come to an end, I remember the happy moments instead of dwelling on why it ended, this strategy has helped me to grow.

I shed a tear ....this is all to familiar...when you wake up one day in life...and go..."what happened?...what happened to you...and what happened to me...but mostly...what happened to us?"

Heart aching portrayal here...Thanks for sharing...

 I love the time
and in between
the calm inside me
in the space
where I can breathe...

January,
You did a wonderful job of writing.
What you said was crystal clear.
It's how we aproach each beginning and end
That really counts. Your disrepancy can be a day or a life time. But you are the core.
You make your own decisions and attitudes.
So the candle shines for us all.

Sigh, Sy...
candle's definately shining...
burn, baby, burn.
Thanks for your comment.
You are so very true,
attitudes of beginnings and ends
are self-construed.
