The poets here are creatively diverse
Into their thoughts and souls I immerse.
I like to believe my second home I have found
Prosperity and Peace is where we are bound.

My writer's block has now been cured
My words and feelings thoughtfully endured.
Thank-you to all my new family and friends
For sharing your forum I now must attend.

I cannot rhyme, Free Verse I adhere
So this poem, I pray, you do not jeer.
Onto more rhymes, more verse I must go
Just needed to share so you all would know.

sonjes, this is very well said.  No jeers from here!  Welcome to Passions.  I know you will enjoy your stay here.  I felt exactly the same way when I started and also posted a poem of similar context.  Will look forward to reading more of your poems. Again welcome!

Diverse is putting it mildly! I like this poem, though it is rhymed and you are more a free verser! This is definitely a place to cure that writers block!

Hi and welcome...I smiled when I read this one...I feel the same way...this place is SO inspiring, if Im not in here reading or repling in ALL the forums...I'm in my journal writing cause this place fills me with ideas...
your ryhme was fine...you should do it all the time!!!(smile).take care, janet marie

Now for me some words come easy...
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch.
You never knew what I loved in you--
I don't know what you loved in me...
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be...
How long have I been sleeping-
How long have I been drifting alone through the night...
How long have I've dreaming I could make it right...
If I closed my eyes and tried with all my might
To be the one you need...
