Drifting slowly with the warm breath of
a lazy dog, I turn and gaze cautiously through
hazy green eyes upon a softly existent land
where images dance and play among
shadows at the edge of an amber forest

Where I turn my attention, undivided
fully directed, puzzles unwind and
recoil faintly indicating the observation
or maybe an insight that may not exist
where one walks and talks

Clearing the webs of indecisive spiders
the silk remnants coalesce and slowly
transcribe the unremarkable thoughts
grasping with quick typists hands
the meaning hidden in the mist

As blue teeth chatter their voice
a flight of wings criss-cross the
dark spaces, bringing a vivid
and detailed memory from their
chains within the gloom

Waiting for sight through eyehole slits
with nothing to fear beyond forgetting
my mind yields a sparkling glint
knowledge that makes a nest
in my fully concious mind

The memory of flowers
The scent of fresh flowers

~JB~

The visual imagery in this poem is so real and life-like. It almost is like a story. I found myself at the end wanting to read more LOL. Thanks for sharing this with all of us. Sighs....now only if I could think of something to write!
