Face surfacing in the mirror
gasping at the stale air
surrounding her
Her eyes are wide
tinged with shamed disbelief
blind and stinging
with stagnant tears
Their putrid wetness
floods her pores
clinging to traitorous flesh
She chokes on the poison
the poison of her weakness
Fingers curled
with bitter memories
frantic hooks
flailing weakly
against delf-defeating claws
They tear at pathetic defenses
ripping crimson canyons
flowing stark against white flesh
Pulling her down
silent lips parted
in a usless plea
she slips into darkness
the darkness
that is you....

Wow! This is so sad and so wonderfully written! You have expressed that feeling of frustration and hurt so well!

Breathe,

You just wrote some thing I could not write about and have never tried to because I still cary such feelings, I was blind and desprate then, but now I see and understand
all that went on but it took a long, long time to admit that is how he realy was. Thank you for your poem.

This so sorrowful and compelling.  A true rendition of the pain that dwells in the heart, and our terrible inability to forget the wrongs inflicted upon us.  I love your words, and i pray your heart to soon be healed.
