Liberate me from the chains of your love;
So I may free my soul, be Reborn
And locate the remnants of Me.
My universal place lies dormant
Beyond my grasp;buried beneath the years.

My gifts are hidden deep within
Coursing through my veins and struggling
To overcome the menial duties of life.

I am not whole in your restricting embrace.
Peace escapes me at every turn;
Contentment is no longer my goal.
Release me so I may be vital again;
To mend the remnants of Me.

I truly loved this poem.  Very sad, but a lot of things tend to hold us back.  Those things are just masked in the face of fears that slowly release us, but not all at once.   Well written.
