Like a drowning child you were
When I first found you
Lost amid the same old lies
And I was something new
The weight of the waves
Crashing down upon your head
The quick passage of time
Is the thing that you dread
All this around us is real
For every nerve is aware
Of such beauty that is shining
Like golden starlight in your hair
They try to murder your hope
And your heart begs mercy
Because those precious moments
Are remembered for eternity
Nothing comes between us
And nothing ever will
When I rescued you from the angry sea,
You realized a love that time will never kill

Your comments are better than anything. I will keep these coming. I somehow like my older stuff more than any new ones that gradually come out every now and then.

I hope you dont mind me bringing an old one up...this one is perfect for my thoughts tonite...
beautiful, sincere poem of understanding.
i love the way your mind works...
stalking your old ones *S*
your jm

she said I dont know if I've ever been good enough,
and I'm a little bit rusty, and I feel like my head is caving in.
...and I dont know if I've ever been really loved by a hand thats touched me...
and I feel like somethings gonna give...
and I'm a little bit angry.

Excellent poem, JML. Another one I missed when I was having computer problems awhile back. Thanks for bringing it back up, Janet Marie!
