Don't slap your children in the face,
The Lord provided a better place.
What's wrong with our dear youth today?
The Federal government has their say.

Child abuse? No prayers in school?
but you're liable for what they do?
You can't spank, you can't pray,
Or you've offended someone some way.

Kid's don't need no discipline,
Time-out works for her or him,
Prayer at games? Surely not!
It offends those that have no God.

Let these kids do as they please,
Then at night while on your knees,
Pray to God that things get better,
They're your kids, now and forever!

Suthern....yes ma'am...I did. In fact, the teachers loved me so damn much they were at my house, or on the phone, more than I was at school?....Yassee what a popular guy I was?

ROFLMAO... Mr. Popularity, even then! LOL. Those teachers probably weren't being altogether complimentary or listing your sterling qualities in those meetings, dear one... but I'll bet they laughed their way home once out of your sight! LOL

Yeah, Belle!  What's it gonna be - are you a gentleman, or ain't ya?  lol

psst, Marina - lil suthern is all Belle, and she would make any Ball a divine event.

Toe - you old rascal.  I wish spankings could solve all problems. Maybe then, lil Lorelei could fix these problems I have with my behavior....  What's that?  I'm the one who needs the spankings????  But... but... I thought it was me who got to DO the spanking.  Rats...  I want a second opinion!

Great poem, nevertheless.

All right, sailor... where did you lose your monacle? LOL I'm gentle when the situation warrants... but all woman. *G* However, since I didn't write the poem, and Toe IS a southern gentleman... and the finest and most honest of such gentlemen at that, I think Marina got it right!! LOL.

And now... regarding that second opinion.... tell Lor to let me know if she needs any help walloping your rear! LOL

You stuck a lot of truth in this one about what's wrong these days. Must have been by accident

Right on TOE!!!  Lack of discipline these days has left some unruly children!
Take my butt to jail if you will, but I will NOT stop disciplining my kids!

Prayer taken from school, but they need to be taught they can do it in their head. God hears them even if they don't say it out loud. They can pray anywhere, anytime!  Grrr. that angers me...I'm stepping down here before I go on a rant!

I am so fortunate not to have been jailed for disciplining my kids, and what wonderful children they are.
Thanks for this one, Toe
