The sickest aspect of humanity,
searching, always searching,
for the worst parts,
the most painful ordeals.
Scratching,
Scrabbling
at the papers for the
sickest stories,
Fast-forwarding cd's
for the most harrowing bass lines,
the most violent screaming.
Looking out for the suicides,
the hospitalisations.

Why?

Why is it always the pain
that gratifies us the most?
If we ever stopped to think,
(God forbid that we should ever think),
if we heard ourselves,
we'd hate ourselves but we are deaf, blind, dumb to ourselves,
to our callousness,
to our human nature.

I am not a preacher, I just speak the world as I se it.

complete disgust to the world ,
with our bloodstained flags unfurled ,
we will take them on ,
we wont stop till weve won .

all my love forever

Humanity can surely be like that. It's a shame for sure. Great poem. Welcome to Passions!

It is a sad aspect of our existence, but there are ways of battling on and I have finally found mine.
Thanx.
