A gift given with such grace
was placed within your care
in love it found its place
flying on wings and a prayer

Slowly the rhythm and beat
grew stronger day by day
alive with fire and heat
dancing to life's cabaret

The world lay at my fingertips
as I dreamt you would be mine
I didn't walk I somehow skipped
laughing as I spoke in rhyme

As you took your love away
I failed to understand
that love has a price to pay
when dishonest and underhand

I'm putting my life back on track
trying to share smiles once more
I'm asking for my heart back
let it love and trust, as it did, once before...

Nope!!! You can't have it!!! *G* Not until you explain this grace bit to a complete klutz. *G*

Seriously, lady... I remember when you were the keeper of hearts that needed protecting... I hope yours finds such tender attentions!!!

Suthern: I remember that definition we did so long ago...well now, grace can be when on bended knees (not knobbly ones like mine though) or it can be something given with incredible tenderness that makes your heart melt..

I remember being the 'protector of hearts' having all these hearts in my drawer and then suddenly realising I had a heart lying next to one that it shouldn't have been...oh dear...they should have told me which hearts they couldn't be next to..*sigh*...I hope they mended though..

oh and btw....mine is the one that keeps jumping up and down and flipping over...lol...I have no idea what I am doing these days...but I know one thing I am in no shape to take care of a heart....sigh

Rainbow, you have a sweet-heart and there just isn't anything you can do about it and no one can take it away from you--it's yours!
Hugs!!  Great poem!

I can only agree
You sure have a heart
You sow it in here
So where do you put it when you log off?
A nice poem
When you don't think about it, it will happend, I'm sure.

Rainbow, anyone who would take your heart would have to take all of you because I've never seen anyone who was all heart more than you......

Your heart might have been broken, but never gone!  You have a wonderful heart, you just need to put the fear behind and open it up again! HUGS!

Your poems read with such rhythm, Rainbow!
I really enjoyed this one,
mind if I send to the keeper of my heart?
Such a "nice" way with words you have in
asking for this precious piece of you back.

The abusers of hearts are simply people without one themselves...or it is severely love impaired...

they don't deserve the hearts offered them...and sadly it is the loving heart that suffers in the end...

Beautiful portrayal Rainbow...I wish you well...

Rainbow,
With a heart the size of yours how could he carry it away. I'm sure he needed a truck.
We all love you so, I would'nt worry. *L*

Thanks all...Nothing is ever clear cut and I guess the simple truth is that I just don't understand but I know it's not a case of either one being without heart...I just have so many questions and no answers..

But thank you for your hugs, they're very much appreciated..

HUGS
