There is a big black hole opening up in my bedroom wall.
My closet door cannot keep me from a bottomless fall.
There goes my dog and, oh great, there goes my cat.
Teacher won’t believe where my homework is at.
This thing happened to my closest friend Lloyd.
That poor guy got sucked into a cosmic void.
And not a soul has seen him since that day.
I think that I would like to keep it that way!
All of those scary stories must be true.
If mom was here what would she do?
She’d say, “That’s the way it goes.”
She'd at least scratch my nose.
As this poem is getting dumb.
Fingers are becoming numb.
Not much longer I’ll hold on.
Miss me while I am gone.
Oh noooooooooo!
Gotta gooooo.
(Sigh)
Bye

Reminiscent of Shel Silverstein, here ... (high compliment)

All you need is a goofy sketch and you could pass it off as him!

--Kess

Full fathom five thy father lies,
Of his bones are coral made,
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange...

--William Shakespeare, from The Tempest
