I'm back And with a vengeance! I'm back, I'm back- Ready to attack! I've been gone long, But my will is strong And I finally know where I belong. I've survived and beat the reaper! Guess you've got me- I'm a keeper! That disease won't dig in deeper. I am finally back! I have returned Now that I've learned How to keep from getting burned By evil hands and devils' flames. But I won't stick around to play old games Or call names. Thought you got the best of me? Well, you ain't seen my family tree And all it's history! Boo! I Got You! I Am Back! Some of you were once esteemed And I dreamed Of having half that gleam. But if shining means To spoil within, Gossip, name-call, or "un-befriend" One, then I don't want to win At being like you. And there are those of you Who were true- I thank all of you who Stood by me while I lay blue When no one asked you to. Thank You!  So, now you have it- I am back And with a vengeance! Back and ready to attack The hated forces that lack Any quiddity. Like an itch under your skin, You'll find I made my way within And you'll have to scratch way deep, down in Until you bleed. Welcome back! I like the strength you portray in your poem...but what's quiddity? LOL (Guess I'll have to reach for my dictionary! And since I see now that it rhymes with dictionary, I just may adopt the word!)  |
