Search deeply and you will find,
More than which meets they eye.
We all posses our own little secret,
And once exposed, our soul cannot lie.

Once past the protective shell,
Exposing our innermost fears,
That is when you can begin to tell
What has grown upon us through the years.

What some may view as scars,
Or what others wish to hide,
I like to show off to near and far
With extreme glory and pride.

For what I have survived
Has only made me stronger
Slightly now I am revived,
And I last that much longer.

For the pain is part of the past,
And those days are behind.
Nothing painful ever lasts,
Now the sun may shine.

What an uplifting message...and one that holds much universal truth. Very nice!
