Evening Devotional

Every night I pray a simple prayer
and ask My Lord above
that in the morning when I wake
I'll wake up to His love.
I ask My Father to grant me peace
and love throughout my years
To give me hope and tenderness
and comfort in my fears.
So far My Father has done me well
and tonight I offer praise
for in my heart I know for sure
He'll see me through my days.

Chris....this is truly wonderful. Such lovely words put together in perfect rhythm and rhyme....the poem almost creates a prayer in itself. Lovely work

Sorry all,  I just had to drudge this one back up again because,  well, because I like it, and I think others could use it as well.

Thanks all.

Chris
