I liked this one so much I had to repost it...I hope no one minds!
       To My Valentine

                                                    Once upon
                                                      A time
                                                     There was
                                                    Truth to the
                                                   Myth of what
                                                       You
                                                      And I
                                                    Had found
                                                  In a blank paged
                                                     Fairy tale.

                                                    Snow white
                                                   Doesn't sleep
                                                 In a casket made of
                                                      Glass
                                                  Slippers will break
                                                  If you wear them.

                                                  Walk across this
                                                    Written word
                                                    With fingers
                                                      Gently
                                                     Seeking
                                                      Loving
                                                       You
                                                      And me
                                                     No more.

                                                     He loves
                                                       Me
                                                   He loves me!
                                                      Not…
                                                     Enough.

                                                       To:
                                                    My Valentine
                                                     Will you
                                                     Be mine
                                                    No longer…

Saxoness-
I caught it in Holiday ...
loved it then ... love it now.
This is wonderful ...

Slippers will break
If you wear them.'

Saxon Lady

I personally think this is a great poem.  I like the way it set me up for another (typical) "Be Mine, Valentine" poem, and then dropped the other shoe right in the middle of it all.  Its too bad the candy company that makes those little candy message hearts couldn't use this poem for those naughty naughty children who need to get blown out of the water periodically - lol.

Naturally, I do NOT in the least show even a hint of favoritism for my fave teen poet of all time.  Not one little bit.  Nope.

I have been guilty of reposting myself..no scoldings coming here LOL

This was terrific, as others say, snow white reference great and ending quite unexpected. Good work!

I didn't catch this in Holiday, so I'm glad I did here.  A broken slipper fairy tale, to your valentine.  Enjoyed much.
