Can I Write You Into My Life?

I want to write
you into my life
in soft leisurely strokes
of my pen
as it glides across the paper.

I want to read
your soul, your life,
in every line
that paints the stark white paper
black with its ink.

I want to hear
the words, in your voice,
as I read them aloud,
each syllable,
like a hammer, striking
a chord inside my heart.

Oh, let me write
for you these words
of love and devotion;
read them
as they were meant to be read;
and hear them
not with your ears,
but with your heart.

Let me write
you into my life
and do not write
me out of yours.

 Have you ever noticed
That the words...
"Goodbye"
"I'm sorry"
"I love you"
Are so easy to pronounce
...Yet so hard to say
~Javan

Hoot~
So lovely this is.
Soft, lilting, lovely.

Your words seem to
touch a chord of recall in me.
I believe that sometimes that we
think from the same heart.
Take that as a truly-felt
compliment, because that's surely
the way I mean it.

Hoot Owl, a work of beauty, this poem, and one to which I can fully share in its theme. Thank you for this gifting tonight.

Words so striking that my ears still ring.  Feelings not forgotten yet things left undone.  The path is wide and the gate is narrow....it is far to easy to get lost on the path that leads to the gate.  But my key fits only one lock and I will know if I am not at your gate....for the key will not fit.

There are two kinds of pedestrians...the quick and the dead. Drive it like you stole it.

A professor once told me that poetry should invoke some type of emotion in every reader before it should be considered POETRY....well hun...I ain't too shore but I'm athankin you hit that nail rite on da head with this un.  (ha ha)
This is one of the most descriptive reasons behind the whole meaning of poetry that I have ever seen.  Thank You, very much for sharing this one.  I loved it.

Thank You

Enchanting poetry as its best
I read and feel at rest
I'm so gald I found the pen
To write you into my life, way back then
The pen is still filled with INK
With you my friend I am N'SINK
Need I say more, Oh yes I do
Hugs and Love always I will have for you

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

WOW!!! I am absolutely overwhelmed with the response to this one as I wrote it in about 5 minutes time right online yesterday. What can I say but thanks for all the praise and kind words about it everyone

...and Marge, from you, how could I take that as anything but a compliment...you have such a lovely heart, to think that we think from the same heart is indeed much praise

Dang good writing Hoot.
I too believe that some of the one`s that come of the top of our head`s without a whole lot of thought are the best.

I'm envious of how words flow from you like a fountain, and bring such depth and meaning.
Strong feelings you have and such a sensitive style that gently strokes your message into our minds.
Hope your standing in sunshine!

Lady Hoot:  It's amazing what we can sometimes write when we just let it flow. Absolutely beautiful work here! Truly these are words from your heart. As always, I bow to you and yours.
